Slush, the world’s leading startup event is held annually in Helsinki, Finland, with the ambition to build a worldwide startup community. This year, on November 17-18, Slush draws an audience of 12 000, comprising investors, founders, and media. Naturally, an event of this size entails incredibly complex planning of the logistics to run smoothly, and one of the logistical challenges is directly related to foodservices at the event.
Compass Group Finland, one of the leading foodservice companies, is responsible for fueling the guests with energy. Compass Group Finland is now expanding their offering from restaurant and cafe services, to also include self-service solutions, such as mini-markets and vending solutions. With help of Selfly Store cabinets, Slush attendees have the opportunity to skip long queues in favor for self-service options.
“We are honored to support Slush and Compass Group in delivering the best possible food experience for Slush 2022. Generally, people don’t like waiting time and queuing, which typically occur at busy events and restaurants. For Slush, Selfly Store provides 15 intelligent cabinets, which we also help operate. We have the capacity to serve up to 2000 people during the busiest lunch hours,” says Aslak de Silva, CEO of Selfly Store.
“We constantly aim to improve our guest experience. With this year’s setup, we take further steps to improve the food experience at Slush, with quicker service times and shorter queues,” says Valtteri Meriläinen, Producer of Slush.
“Partnering with Selfly Store at Slush is an excellent opportunity for us to further test new and advanced technology available to serve our customers 24/7. In addition to our normal restaurant offering at Slush, we now also offer easy, convenient, and engaging grab-n-go shopping experiences”, says Kristiina Ramirez, Head of Retail and New Business Development at Compass Group Finland.
